NOTICE OF EDICT FROM THE OFFICE OF THE GRAND MASTER

NOTICE OF EDICT #2

BROTHERS,

Things are changing rapidly across the State of North Dakota, with businesses being told to close and people being asked to stay home. I think its only proper for our Lodges to follow suit, by limiting the exposure of our more at risk brothers, friends and family members. I also know there are many Lodge functions that this will effect, I haven’t taken any of this lightly. When postponing and rescheduling Lodge functions please look ahead to the likely hood of things being back to some kind of normal, what ever that maybe.

The following guidelines are to be implemented immediately by all Lodges in the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge AF&AM of North Dakota.

  1. All Masonic buildings will be limited to less than < 10 people including rentals.
  2. All Masonic Degree work will be postponed.
  3. All Lodge meetings will be limited to less than < 10 people.
    • Please limit meetings to business only
    • A social distance of 6 feet must be maintained. Special care must be taken if opening or closing of a meeting, (please avoid contact).
    • Lodge Masters please contact the Grand Lodge office with your cancellations

These guidelines are to remain in effect until May 1st, 2020.

Brothers this is new territory for us all, lets do our part by helping to slow COVID-19. Also lets not forget our brothers who may be alone, call, text or email them. Make sure that they have some contact with you and others, there are many ways to maintain our Brotherhood, maybe even some new ideas.

There will be updates coming as things progress, please take care of yourselves and others.

Fraternally,
Lowell Domier
Grand Master North Dakota

NOTICE OF EDICT #1

BROTHERS,

As all of your are aware COVID-19 virus, is spreading throughout the United States and North America, here in North Dakota we have been fortunate to have a very small amount of exposure at this time. But our State Government has put out some common sense guidelines that we should follow to limit our exposure. The following guidelines should be implemented immediately by all Lodges in the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge AF&AM North Dakota:

  1. All Masonic functions will have less than < 50 people in attendance as per State recommendations.
  2. All Masonic buildings will be limited to less than <50 people including rentals.
  3. Stated Meetings and Lodge Functions may continue ( for the time Being ) at the will and pleasure of the Master of each Lodge with these restrictions:
    • A social distance of 6 feet must be maintained. Special care must be taken when opening, closing and during any Rituals.
    • Meetings with more than 10 people in attendance should not include those who are at higher risk of more serious illness from the COVID-19 virus. Please consult the CDC ( Centers for Disease Control ).
    • Lodge Masters who wish to cancel Stated Lodge Meetings or Functions may do so, but please contact the Grand Lodge Office.

These guidelines are to be followed until April 15th , 2020.

At this time I will assume the ND Dept of Health and the Governor’s will be updating their recommendations sooner rather than later, and the Grand Lodge will adjust our guidelines accordingly.

Remember Brothers, this will clear itself up over time and we need not place any of our Brother’s or Family’s at risk, we should let common sense prevail. At this time the Grand Communication is still set for June 11-13, 2020. But proper steps will be taken to ensure the safety of everyone as things progress.

Also all committeeman should be looking for instructions on how the Quarterly Meetings will be handled.

Fraternaly,
Lowell Domier
Grand Master North Dakota
