Look Out Point at Walhalla

Several acres on the highest point of land near Walhalla, called Lookout Point, were purchased in the name of the Grand Lodge. The top of the Point was leveled off, and here numerous Masonic meetings have been held.

A huge “Square and Compasses” adorn the southeast side of the hill, facing ND Highway 32, and is seen for miles as one approaches from the south. The gigantic emblem, with compasses 32 feet long and the square 20 feet long on each side, was erected in 1951 by the Brothers of Walhalla Lodge #50. It's indeed worth a trip just to admire the site and the view!
